Tomorrow is 'Family Day' in Ontario, and in honour of that, I am featuring these brothers, listed as Brody and Auggie, who are located in an Eastern European country waiting for their family to come find them. They are separated right now, living in different orphanages. Searching for a family for these two sweet boys, who are available to both Canadians and Americans, but their country requires that potential parents be married. More information can be found at the Reece's Rainbow website.

I have deep admiration and respect for people who welcome these children into their families. It is a level of compassion and selflessness that I can't fathom.

Very true. And yet, the adoptive parents who are Christians often say that they were scared and nearly backed out many times, but stuck to it because they were called by God to adopt, and were greatly blessed by taking those steps of faith. Many adoptive parents state on their blogs that they are not any more qualified or selfless than the rest of us! They often say 'God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called'.
