The Liebenzell Mission of Canada is a small evangelical mission organization, headquartered in Moffat, Ontario. It is the Canadian branch of Liebenzell Mission International, which is based in Germany. Liebenzell originally began as the German branch of the China Inland Mission (a mission founded by Hudson Taylor). LM was founded in 1899 during a time of spiritual revival in Germany. Liebenzell Mission currently has close to 250 missionaries serving around the world.

LM Canada is one of seven country branches of the International organization. LM Canada hosts camps and retreats at the mission centre in Moffat, facilitates volunteer placements, assists in the training of missionaries, and sends out Canadian missionaries.
I serve with Liebenzell as a missionary to Malawi. After 1.5 years teaching Kindergarten in Lilongwe at an international Christian school, I returned to Canada due to illness. I have spent a year recuperating and working with doctors to get an underlying health condition resolved, as well as receiving additional training for my eventual return to the mission field. I will rejoin the Liebenzell Malawi team in January 2018, working in the southern city of Zomba (located half-way between Blantyre and the southern tip of the lake). |
